Yes Breizh is not a political party

Why isn't Yes Breizh a political party?

from Yes Breizh

Why isn't Yes Breizh a political party?

Yes Breizh has made a clear choice: not to be a political party.
This is not, of course, the result of a strategy of circumvention or anything else.
It's an assertive, coherent stance that we feel is necessary in these difficult times, but one that also raises the stakes.

Does Yes Breizh have a legal structure?

Yes, we had to create one. Yes Breizh is a association loi 1901.
This ensures that the company operates and is managed clearly, with its articles of association registered with the prefecture.

But then again, what is Yes Breizh?

If we absolutely had to define Yes Breizh by a word or a phrase, let's say that we are a dynamic, a momentum, a movement, a think tank and action.

If we have to define ourselves by what we won't do, so be it!

  • Yes Breizh will present no candidate municipal, departmental, regional, legislative and European elections, etc.
  • Yes Breizh will present no candidate management of cultural, professional and business associations, etc.

Our role is not to lead, but rather to ask the questions that affect the people of Brittany and to find solutions (without ... bias).
Our Levrig explains this approach well.

Our role is to initiate this debate, to structure and therefore from give the people of Brittany the means to reflect collectively on the future of their country.

That's why, Yes Breizh is a wide responsible space, It is a group capable of bringing together people with different backgrounds, sensitivities and convictions.

Who is Yes Breizh?

Yes Breizh, it's just us.

We who believe in a future for Brittany don't have any reflexes (federalism, autonomy, independence, decentralisation, centralisation or anything else), but are thinking about finding the right ways to live up to what Brittany is today and to its potential that we don't see.

And so we can be :

  • left, right, centre or elsewhere!
  • politically committed... or not,
  • party sympathiser... or totally independent,
  • a member of a cultural or sports association,
  • an employee of a very small or large company,
  • union or employer representative,
  • craftsman,
  • unemployed,
  • A native Breton who sees a future for Brittany,
  • A Breton at heart who sees a future for Brittany
  • and so many others ...

... and identify with the Yes Breizh.

What is Yes Breizh's approach?

Yes Breizh acts on five levers:

Information

We will be broadcasting for each subject of interest data, international comparisons and concrete examples from other European countries and regions.

Think

We will take the time to reflect on these data to better understand how results have been obtained (or not) in Brittany, France and elsewhere.

Debate

On the basis of the above, we will be encouraging exchanges, public meetings, discussions opened in think tanks which will be launched in February.

Deciding and guiding

We will then decide on measures to be taken, action plans (which will not be :  y'a qu'on faut qu'on, tomorrow we will make this or that free, we must (or must not) increase taxes, etc.).
These decisions will be the guidelines that we will propose and offer to those involved in our future.

Act

Any social, cultural, political or business entity - in short, anything that makes up Breton society - that undertakes to support and implement these guidelines will be awarded the label, meaning that it can count on our support. The label will be awarded for a period of one year, after which an evaluation will be carried out.

What are the objectives of Yes Breizh?

Yes Breizh believes in the future of Brittany and the Breton people.

Yes Breizh is inspired by similar experiences elsewhere in Europe, where responsible movements like the Welsh from Yes Cymru and the Scots from Yes Scotland have succeeded in raise the level of public debate.

Yes Breizh wants to help structure a shared vision, and to revitalise our society without turning in on itself, but on the contrary by opening it up to the world, which is round and not hexagonal.

This is our ambition:

👉 develop a collective Breton consciousness,
👉 ask the right questions,
👉 preparing for tomorrow's choices, no matter who has to wear them.

We have been looking for translators for all of the website's texts since last October, without success.
We are using an application to help us translate everything directly and automatically on the website, and Gallo is not in their catalogue.
